The Oilers are one big family. Our current players, our coaches, our owners, our fans, our relatives, our friends at the VFW, former players, our friends in the community---- we are all the Oiler family.
It started back in 1974 when Peter and Marge O'Kane launched the Oilers, and the sense of family continues to this day. When we say "Oilers for life (O4L)", we mean it. That's part of what makes the Oiler organization special. Some other teams play their games and then go their separate directions and rarely see each other off the field. But not the Oilers, win or lose we stick together, celebrate together, and support one another. That's what family is all about.
