Preview:
The 2011 season is here! The Oilers kick off the 2011 season this week--- on Saturday June 25th vs the Middleboro Cobras. The game will be in Middleboro at Bettis Field, at 7:30 p.m.
The Oilers and Cobras will be renewing an old rivalry for the first time in 5 years. The Cobras, who were long time members of the EFL, left for the NEFL @ 2006. They return to the EFL this year after having won NEFL championships in 2007 & 2008.
The Cobras are in the EFL south division along with Randolph, the Brockton Bucs, the Quincy Militia, and the Taunton Gladiators. The teams play each team within their division twice, as well as two at-large games (the Oilers' at-large games are Hyde Park and Manchester, NH). Click here for the official 2011 Oiler schedule.
Middleboro is considered one of the front runners to win the EFL Championship in 2011. Many of the league "experts" don't expect Randolph to be able to hang with the likes of Middleboro and Taunton. But just like the 2011 Boston Bruins whom none of the "experts" projected to win the Stanley Cup, the Oilers don't care what the "experts" say. You can't measure heart and determination, which are two things the 2011 Oilers have an abundance of.
The Oilers enter the 2011 season with the intent of doing everything within their power to bring the EFL Championship back to the Town of Randolph. Please come support your Oilers in what promises to be an entertaining and exciting football season.
