Oilers battle but fall short in playoffs vs tough WMBB team
The Oilers (#8 seed) fell to the Western Mass Blitzing Bears (#1 seed) by a score of 44-18 in the opening round of the EFL playoffs. Despite the lopsided score, the Oilers battled until the end, and simply lost to an extremely strong WMBB team.
The Oilers took an early 6-0 lead, but then fell behind 22-6 and were forced into too many obvious passing situations. As a result the Oilers committed too many turnovers, which you can't have against a dominant like WMBB.
But the Oilers have no reason to hang their heads. The team played hard all season and have a lot of young and veteran talent to build upon for the 2011 season. The Oilers will be back!!!!!!!
