Legend of DeLaBotta

The Legend of DeLaBonto, The Old Lady, Lasagna, and the Haunted Toe

Once upon a time there was on old lady who lived in a small village in Italy. She wore a leopard print shawl, and had a little friend named DeLaBonto. She had a cane, and he had a walking stick.

They lived near a mountain and didn't have much food to eat. They would spend all day picking corn from the fields. Sometimes Village Man would show up in his sunglasses and help them shuck the corn. For dinner they would eat corn on the cob- without even cooking it!!!

One year, all the corn in the village disappeared.  Old Lady decided she must find out what happened to the corn. She took her young friend DeLaBonto and decided to go on a voyage to find out what happened to the corn.

The Old Lady was very sad and lonely, and sometimes she would be very grumpy and wasn't very polite and considerate when she spoke to her friend DeLaBonto.

Even though Old Lady was often grumpy, she was very smart and always had good advice for DeLaBonto. She would teach him tricks to do to his walking stick to keep the wolves away- like "soaking it in smelly stuff" so it would smell like things that the wolves did not like, such as "rotten toot."

On their voyage, Old Lady and DeLaBonto met up with a lady named Green Lizard Lady. Green Lizard Lady was very smart, so Old Lady asked her:  "Green Lizard Lady- how do we find out where our corn went?"

Green Lizard Lady said:
"You must speak with a beautiful princess named Lasagna. Only the brilliant Lasagna knows the answer to the world's mysteries. Find Lasagna, and she will be able to tell you what has happened to your corn."

Old Lady asked:
"Will you help us find Lasagna?"

"Okay, but only if you do not hit me with your walking stick Old Lady" replied Green Lizard Lady.

By that time, Old Lady and DeLaBonto were hungry again. On a trail by the ocean they bumped into Village Man who agreed to share some food with them if they agreed to do some gymnastic tricks for him.  Luckily Old Lady was very good at gymnastics.

Village Man was so happy he gave them their favorite foods:  watermelon for Old Lady, and corn on the cob for DeLaBonto.

After dinner Old Lady, DeLaBonto,  Green Lizard Lady continued on their adventure, in search of Lasagna who could help them find out what happened to their corn.

"I must warn you about Lasagna" said Green Lizard Lady. "Sometime she is happy, sometimes, she sings, but sometime she is very grumpy. Let's hope we meet up with her when she is in a good mood."

Luckily Old Lady was in a good mood the day they found her, and agreed to help Old Lady and DeLaBonto.

"The reason your corn is gone... is because of Big Monkey's magic HAUNTED TOE !!! The toe put a curse on your corn."

"The Only way to stop the Haunted Toe from making all your corn disappear, is to find the Talking Monkey- he is the cousin of BigMonkey and knows Big Monkey's secrets. He will take you to the Magic Yellow Helmet. You must each put the Magic Yellow Helmet on your head. If the magic works, then the corn will grow back and the Curse of the Haunted Toe will end."

Lasagna also told them:  "But I must warn you- the Haunted Toe will try and stop you from ending the curse. So Beware of the Haunted Toe and the Big Monkey. They will do everything in their power to stop you from ending the Curse."

So along with Lasagna and Green Lizard Lady they went to find the Talking Monkey.

On their way to find Talking Monkey, they passed through many villages and met many friendly villagers. These people LOVED food! Everywhere they went the villagers were eating lots of yummy food.

The next day they were hungry again. As they were walking through the woods, they once again bumped into VillageMan. VillageMan told them the villagers would agree to share their food with Old Lady, DaLaBonto, Green Lizard Lady, and Lasagna if Old Lady and Lasagna would agree to be the waitresses for their meal. That was a trade they happily agreed to!

At the castle of King Bumper and Queen Bubby, Old Lady and Lasagna helped serve the meal to the King and Queen and to their guests: Village Man, SewerSister Tracy, NannyAnnie, TyGer, and Princess Zebra.

Old Lady & DeLaBonto loved being with these nice people and their yummy food, and they hoped that someday they could rescue their corn from the Curse of the Haunted Toe so they could invite all their new friends to THEIR village to have dinner and snacks with them!!!

After dinner they continued there voyage. With the help of Lasagna and Green Lizard Lady they soon found Talking Monkey. Talking Monkey was very helpful and agreed to help them. Talking Monkey said: "To end the Curse, you must climb the Old Mountain and find the Golden Helmet. But be careful, Big Monkey will try and catch and trick you, and will try to put a magic spell on you with his Haunted Toe!"

Old Lady was shocked. She said: "Are you kidding me dude?? Are you telling us that the Haunted Toe is attached to Big Monkey??? Surely you must be kidding."

Talking Monkey replied: "I am not kidding."

As they started to climb the mountain, out of NOWHERE came Big Monkey and his Haunted Toe. Old Lady forgot the advice she received from Talking Monkey, and foolishly asks BigMonkey to show them his Haunted Toe. Big Monkey said: "But of course! I would love to show you my beautiful toe! I thought you'd never ask!"

To the surprise of Old Lady, Lasagna, and Green Lizard Lady, the Haunted Toe was even more disgusting than they ever dreamed.

The toe was so gross, it even made young DeLaBonto and Green Lizard Lady cry!

Luckily, Old Lady came to her senses and realized that they must immediately get away from Big Monkey and his Haunted Toe before he could put a spell on THEM! So she and DeLaBonto started running away from Big Monkey, as Old Lady frantically told DeLaBonto: "get your butt moving DeLaBonto!!"

To try and confuse Big Monkey and his Haunted Toe, Old Lady decides for Lasagna to pretend that she is the Old Lady, and Old Lady will pretend she is Lasagna.

Big Monkey finds them and starts to chase them. Old Lady finds it very funny when she realizes Lasagna has a huge WEDGIE!

A wild chase ensues all the way to the top of the mountain, and into the Old Castle.

BigMonkey and his Haunted Toe trap Old Lady, DeLaBonto, Lasagna, and VillageMan in a secret room.

But then, in a shocking development Old Lady reveals that Big Monkey was raised by wolves, and that DeLaBonto is actually her GRANDSON!!!!

Big Monkey and his Haunted Toe are so shocked by this news, that he leaves the room to gather his thoughts. When he leaves, Old Lady realizes this may be her only chance to find the Magic Yellow Helmet and to save the corn for the Village. She grabs Lasagna and DeLaBonto, and begin searching the castle for the  Magic Yellow Helmet.

They look everywhere and are almost ready to give up. But then Lasagna sees King Bumper. "King Bumper!" yells Lasagna, "can you please help us find the Magic Yellow Helmet so we can break the curse and save the corn for the Village????"

"Sure"
said King Bumper, "I have a secret treasure map electronically stored on my computer, and I can tell you exactly where Big Monkey hides the Magic Yellow Helmet and all his treasure."

Sure enough they look on his computer, and King Bumper sees that the Magic Yellow Helmet  is hidden in the very next room under some pillows!!!

Old Lady quickly finds the helmet. "DeLaBonto- cush you wild child" she says. "Put on this magic helmet so we can save the corn." DeLaBonto puts on the helmet, shakes his head, and then gives the helmet back to Old Lady.

"Now, Lasagna, you must now put on the helmet." Old Lady does as she is told, shakes her head with the magic helmet and then hands the helmet to Old Lady.

"Okay, now if Talking Monkey is right, when I put on this helmet, the Curse of the Haunted Toe will be removed and the corn will be saved" said Old Lady.
But the helmet is so heavy, Old Lady cannot put it on her head all by herself. Luckily King Bumper and Lasagna were there and were very strong and could help her put the giant magic helmet on her tiny head.

Voila!!!!!!! As soon as Old Lady took off the helmet, the sun came bursting out and they could tell something magical had happened. Even though it was almost night time, the sun had come back out and in the distance they could see the corn begin to grow in the fields and rise from the ground!!!!!

Old Lady, DeLaBonto, and Lasagna had saved the day!!!!!!!!!!!! The Village had their corn back.

And Old Lady, young DeLaBonto, Lasagna, King Bumper, Queen Bubby, Green Lizard Lady, NannyAnnie, TyGer, VillageMan, Sewer Sister, and Talking Monkey all lived happily ever after. And after the curse was broken and his Haunted ToeNail fell off, even BigMonkey was happy and nice again and moved from the Mountain back to the Village with his friends and family!!!
