 2014 Rookie Idol

Above: scenes from the 2012 Rookie Idol.

Another of the Oilers annual traditions is "Rookie Idol."  Prior to the start of the season the team gathers at the VFW for drinks and festivities, with the entertainment provided by the rookie players. The rookies perform karaookee style songs at the choosing of the veteran players. This always a very entertaining event. 2014 Rookie Idol:    July 5th 2014.
